Mothers Day

We went to the garden centre and got a special basket of flowers for our mammies for mothers day. We drew a map of our journey to the garden centre in our copies. We made special cards for our mammies too.
Happy Mothers Day to all our special Mammies!!

Down Syndrome Awareness day

We wore different socks to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness day on 21st March. We brought in money for charity too and the school collected over 440 euro. Thank you to everyone for their kind donations.

Seachtain na Gaeilge.

We have been working really hard learning our Irish songs for our ceolchoirm. We are learning the chorus of the song 'shotgun' in Irish and are looking forward to singing it with the rest of the school. We are also learning our song 'Chuaigh mé go dtí an bhfeirm' and our rann 'Dhá éinín dheasa' We are looking forward to showing them to the whole school.

We had our céilí and did wonderful dancing for the rest of the school and we had a chance to do some freestyle dancing too, we did a great job!

We made shamrock headbands for Saint Patrick's Day and did rainbow pot of gold using pointillism technique in Art.

The girls from 6th class came to help us play Bingo in Irish. Thank you girls.

World Book Day

The 6th class girls came to read for us on World Book Day. We loved having the big girls reading to us. Thank you girls.

Aistear fun

Look at the fun we have been having in Aistear. We had fun with the small world animals, jigsaws, blocks, we played maths games on the tablets and junk art. We had fun writing on the whiteboards with whiteboard markers and we have been practicing writing our letters. We are getting so good at writing our letters and words now! We used the pegs and peg boards and had fun exploring weight using the bucket balances. We played maths games and had fun painting at our creative station.
